Essentially is to make easy / self configuration for NVR user that have a ( Router / Firewall ) that Protec their home or business to allow remote access of their App ( mobile or Pc App ) to remote vision of image or configuration of the NVR .
They try to make it simple but ( NVR and App and router network ) need to be properly configured to connect.
The configuration is dépendant of your network environment ex.( if you have several router in-line and if they can be configured ) and in the case of Hik-connect it need to be configured ( on site ) to be able to validate the configuration. Meaning that not only the configuration of the many connections parameters of the connection need to be correct but you have to be ( on site ) for the first connection to be validated than future connection can be remote. For most site you just follow the configuration process built-in the NVR and App . and it will connect, if not a careful inspection of your internet connection/network environment is needed to find and configure the different équipements (Router/internet équipements to permit the P2P to be On-line ).
