Password Reset by Secure Code

Please refer to the steps as per below to reset the password. 

 

1. Click on the Menu button on the top left.

2. Click two times(2X) on the bottom left. Use the left button on the mouse for this.

(If you have a pattern click “Forgot My Pattern” on the bottom left of that screen to get to the login screen)

3. Send us the screenshot of the Serial No. and the date shown on monitor screen for a secure code.

4. Create and confirm the new password, must be 8-16 characters only.

You’ll need to log into the web interface of the camera using a PC browser. Once you are logged in go to Configuration>System>User Management and click on “Admin”. Once Admin is highlighted click on modify at the top and change your password on the next menu, and make sure to confirm it. (Not Recommended if connecting directly to the NVR.)

How do I connect ONE Halo doorbell camera to a NVR/DVR?

1.Ensure the ONE Halo is connected to your WiFi network. (If not, follow this instruction)
2.Ensure the NVR/ DVR and the doorbell camera are on the same Local Area Network
3.Download and install the SADP IP Portal program. Download here.
4.Locate the IPv4 Address of the doorbell camera in SADP program

5. Log into the NVR and go to Main menu> Camera> Camera. Click on Edit button of a vacant channel.

6. Change ‘Adding method’ from ‘Plug&Play’ to ‘Manual’

7. Enter the IP Camera Address located in Step 4

8. Choose ‘Protocol’ to ‘LaView’

9. Enter the Password to your doorbell camera. The default password is the verification code located on the label of the back panel of the camera.

10. Click ‘OK’ to save. The camera should show up in the NVR/DVR after a couple seconds.

Troubleshooting:

1.Ensure the camera is online. Use your mobile App to confirm if you can get the camera feed.
2.Ensure the NVR and Doorbell camera is connected to the same router/network. Meaning they should have same IP gateway and IP address range. (In the first diagram above, LV-N9616D6E NVR – IP 192.168.0.122 has the same IP range as the LV-PDB1630-U Doorbell camera 192.168.0.88) Use the SADP tool to check and configure the IP addresses of both devices.
3.Check the recorder specification to ensure the NVR/DVR support 3MP IP camera.
4.Ensure NVR and Camera are on the latest firmware.
5.Reset Doorbell camera by pressing and hold the reset button. Connect to the network again.

How do I see ONE Halo on PC/Mac

1.Ensure the camera is set up by LaView ONE App and registered to a LaView P2P account
2.Download and install LaView Net Guarding Expert Program for Windows / Mac
3.Go to Control Panel> Device Management

7. Login to your LaView P2P account created in the LaView ONE App. (LaView P2P Account must be created using either LaView NET, LaView ONE or LaView Connect)

8. If this is the first time adding the camera to the Client software, enter the Device password in the Modify Netinfo menu.

9. Go the ‘Main View’ window, double-click the doorbell camera under your account to stream the camera.

I don’t have an NVR; how do I view my camera?

You can use our P2P service to view your camera. Make sure the camera has power and is connected to your router via Wi-Fi or ethernet cable. Then follow these steps:

1.Open the LaView NET app. In the menu tap LaView P2P.

3.Enter email address and verification picture. Tap get verification code. Email with verification code will be sent to registered email. Create username and password after entering code.

4.Login using email/username and password. Enable “Auto-login”.

5.Tap the (+) icon to add a device to the account.

6.Scan the QR code on the camera.

*If using 4G/LTE with bad signal, you may not obtain a picture. Attempt using a strong signal.

How do I physically reset my camera?

First you will need to find the reset button. Unplug any power and video source from the camera first. Look at the back of the camera and there should be a reset button. Hold down the button, with the power still disconnected. While still holding the button down, plug power into the camera and continue to hold the button for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds from the power being plugged in, release the reset button and the camera should reboot and be set back to factory defaults.

How to reset the ONE Nova Floodlight camera?

1.Remove the cameras side panel that covers the SD Card/Reset Button
2.Press and hold the reset button for 6-10 seconds until you hear ‘Reset Successfully’ from the camera.
3.The LED light will be in steady Red after camera resets. It will flash in Blue Rapidly when ready for new network set up.

How to reset LaView Saturn IP Camera

1.Open the camera case using screwdriver or hex key
2.Locate the Reset button

3. Press and hold the reset button for at least 5 seconds until the camera restarts, and then the camera will be restored to factory default settings.

Password Reset via XML files

Please find a 12V power adapter to power up your camera. And directly connect this camera to the router with an Ethernet cable if you need to reset the password via XML files.

Please power on the device (NVR/DVR/cameras) and connect it to the router via an ethernet cable first.

 

Then find the attachment and follow the instructions to export the XML file and send it to us. We will help to generate a key file and send it back to you to reset the password.

 

Kindly pay attention to the following when you export the file.

1. BOTH THE EXPORTED AND IMPORTED XML FILE IS VALID FOR ONLY 24 HOURS.

2. MAKE SURE THE DEVICE STAYS POWER ON AND ONLINE AFTER EXPORTING THE FILE.

How to fix it when the ONE Halo doorbell camera flashes in RED

When the LED light on the ONE Halo doorbell camera is flashing constantly in RED, it means that the device is experiencing technical exception. Below are some steps to troubleshoot.

 

1.If you cannot live view the camera from the mobile App, check the internet connection of your network. Reset the camera and your router if necessary.
2.If you can see live view but can not access any footage, it could be the microSD card is not set up correctly. Try Re-formatting the microSD card in the LaView ONE App
3.If both live view and playback footage work fine, try restarting the doorbell camera (turn off the breaker). Restart the Wi-Fi router at the same time to reset the communication.
4.If none of the above help, reset the doorbell camera (by pressing the RESET button for 10 seconds) and re-do the configuration process.

Trouble Shooting Issues

Network Issues

 Make sure, for initial setup, the phone is within 6 feet of the camera.
 Make sure you are using the Scan QR code method for setup. If the QR code on the camera does not work, scan the QR code on the documentation envelope.
 Make sure the volume of your phone is turned up.
 Make sure your smart phone is connected to your router’s 2.4GHz band. If you are unsure which band you are connected to, please see your router’s user manual.
 Make sure you are using the correct Wi-Fi password.
 Make sure your phone is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
 Make sure the camera is connected to a power outlet. Confirm the status on the camera’s LED light.
 Try to reset the camera by holding down the reset button for 10 seconds, while plugged into power; the light will turn a solid red when resetting.
 The reset button is located on the back of the camera.
 Once you reset the camera, make sure the LED is blinking blue and red for setup mode. If the light does not blink blue and red, try to reset the camera again.
 The camera’s Wi-Fi range is up to 150ft without obstacles (walls, floors, doors, stairs etc). If the camera is not

Camera picture is not clear

 Make sure the camera is not placed behind a window, and there is no interference or strong light source in front of the camera.
 Make sure camera lens is clean from any dirt or debris.
 Strength of Wi-Fi signal will largely affect recording quality. If there are too many obstacles (walls, floors, doors, stairs, etc…) between the camera and router, consider moving the camera or router to a more centralized location. You can use a Wi-Fi extender to improve the strength of the Wi-Fi signal.

Forget the password

 If you forget your password, hold down the reset button for 10 seconds. This will default the camera which will require you to delete it off your account to reconfigure the camera. The password will default back to the Verification Code. Then follow the steps on the “Set up Camera with your Smartphone” section.
